Beauty is a term that is too frequently misunderstood and too frequently misused as well. What many people don’t understand is that beauty is not about looking a specific way and that it is more of a matter of perception than a matter of fact.
We all need to feel beautiful – it boosts our self-confidence, it makes us feel full of good energies and it makes us more likeable to the world as well (because yes, people do sense when someone around them is feeling good and they will feel the same too). However, bear in mind that beauty doesn’t have to be expensive and that it doesn’t have to mean you’re going to walk around dressed in Versace only. In fact, beauty lies in the small tricks and hacks that are easy to apply on a day-to-day basis, that are affordable and efficient at the same time.

Vaseline

Your grandmother probably used this too, as it has been around since forever. And sometimes, what your grandmother used to use on herself is much better than any other product on the market today. Vaseline Australia is an excellent (and cheap!) product you can use for a wide range of purposes. You can use it as a lip balm, as a hand moisturizer, as a cream to make rashes and sunburns feel less awful and as a moisturiser for corns and wefts as well.

Baby Powder

You know those expensive “dry shampoos” you use on your dry hair to “clean” it and make it look better in an instant? They are great when you are on the run and you don’t have the time to wash your hair and dry it out properly, but sometimes their price is just too much for a lot of the ladies out there. The good news is that baby powder can do the very same thing. Simply apply it at the root of your hair and massage it into the skin. Brush it off, make sure it’s not noticeable and you will achieve almost the same effect as dry shampoo has.

Quick Make-Up

We all love to doll ourselves up, but sometimes, the time simply not allows it. Waking up at 7 am and trying to apply a full-on make-up can be a tough job, especially if you’re the type who hits the snooze button more than once (as we all are, actually). However, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t reap the benefits of feeling pretty and nice. Basic make-up doesn’t take more than 5 minutes to get done and it should do a good job too. Simply apply powder, underline your eyes and get a bit of mascara on the eyelashes. If you want to, you can use a dash of blush and a bit of lipstick as well, as they will add some color. For a natural look, avoid the pencil eyeliner and go for your usual eye shadow (apply it with a very thin brush along the eye line, same as you would do with normal eyeliner). That’s it! You’re ready to go!
